During the first six months of 2007 Josh and John worked together to produce a collection of songs now being hailed as the most uplifting, life affirming album of the decade. Seven written by Josh, six by John who has also produced, arranged and played most of the instruments. Josh plays piano while Doug Boyle (of Robert Plant and Nigel Kennedy fame), provides lead guitar.

The result - SEIZE THE DAY, The Album - is a mix of rock, pop and ballads, all of which are pure, honest and deeply felt. Featuring powerful 'anthemic' ballads, interspersed with life affirming, up tempo numbers, every song is a potential single, designed to stand the test of time.

Joshua's first single 'Kilimanjaro' gained extensive radio play across the UK and the video went to the No 1 position in the E-Music Television chart and stayed there for over a month. The haunting ballad struck a chord with many who had seen and heard Josh speak about his daily fight with Cystic Fibrosis. Joshua's appearances on 'THIS MORNING', where he played his first single 'live', and 'GOOD MORNING SUNDAY with ALED JONES' have gained him an army of fans to add to the tens of thousands already following his progress on My Space and You Tube.

With the release of 'NEVER GONNA BE LONELY' the upbeat side of his music comes to the fore and there are high hopes for extensive radio and television coverage across the world.

His good looks have also propelled the 'JOSHUA JONES 2008' Calendar into the charts and IKONZ magazine named it as one of their Top 10 'stocking fillers' for Christmas! The album's title track 'Seize the Day (Carpe Diem),' vocalises the principle that guides Josh's life. Born fighting for breath 20 years ago, he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis soon after and given a 1 in 10 chance of surviving his first night. But Josh has already become an icon to fellow CF sufferers. Excelling at sport at school, he was a champion and record holder for cross-country and shot putt, Captain of football and Captain of the 1st XV rugby at his school in Cardiff. In 2003 he was awarded the 'Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Award' for overcoming adversity.

Sport may have been his first love, but music is without doubt, Josh's great passion. “We all have our personal mountain to climb and the fight to get there makes us stronger. I hope my songs, which mean so much to me, will inspire others to stand up and be counted and to keep going when the going gets tough. CF doesn't define me, but it's part of who I am. It's made me realise a life's worth fighting for.”
