Competition winner at Sprint
Sprint Studios welcomed Tolly Snell this week, the winner of the 'Ian Ritchie Award' held at the Strode Theatre in Somerset. His singing performance caught the eye of the judges who included John Ratcliff and Michael Eavis, and yesterday, 27th October, he enjoyed his prize of a day in the studio with the Sprint Team. John Ratcliff will be featuring The Mirettes on BBC Somerset Sound tomorrow morning (17.10.08) in "Ratcliff's Records".

Featuring the new Neil Diamond album, Ratcliff's Records went out on BBC Somerset Sound this morning with the Jo Phillips show. Amongst topics discussed were the recent Glastonbury Festival, Gardening, Yoga and the first appearance of The Mirettes at the Worthy Farm Event.

The Mirettes open Glastonbury
The Mirettes were thrilled to open the Glastonbury Music Festival live performances when they played to a packed press and VIP crowd behind the Pyramid Stage. Organised by Greenpeace, Michael Eavis took to the stage following their set and welcomed everyone to the 2008 Festival. KT Tunstall gave an impromptu performance later in the evening. Michael Eavis hoped "that next year The Mirettes would be appearing on the Pyramid Stage itself".












John Ratcliff, the founder of THE SPRINT MUSIC LABEL, will be adding his own personal slant to the day-to-day activities of the company. Read more..
